Job Description

My client who are a national organisation are looking for a Regional Sales Manager covering around the Canbridgeshire, Essex, Suffolk and Hertfordshire Area.

2 Reporting

Direct Line responsibility - Sales Director

3 Overview

  • €’ To work within the UK sales team to promote the sales of Polypipe Ventilation and Silavent products by creating end user pull and feeding business back through channel partners

  • €’ To manage and develop key regional channel accounts as well as key national channel account branches and contacts

  • €’ To develop and manage end users to gain specification for Polypipe Ventilation and Silavent products

  • €’ To liaise and develop strong links with the Polypipe Building Products New Build team and the Polypipe Terrain specification team, in order to develop demand generation to be fed back through our channel accounts.

  • €’ To build excellent relationships with all of the key personnel within the Region and to deliver excellent customer service and support for those contacts.

4 Key Accountabilities

  • €’ Develop business / strategy plans with regional channel accounts

  • €’ Develop relationships with regional and area directors of national accounts

  • €’ Develop relationships with contract and estimating offices / departments / key branches of national channel accounts

  • €’ Attend regional meetings of national channel accounts

  • €’ Joint visits with key regional and national channel account specification personnel

  • €’ Develop training and promotional programmes with channel accounts

  • €’ Negotiate annual terms / trading agreements and sales targets with channel accounts

  • €’ Effectively manage stock control / returns in line with Polypipe Ventilation policy

  • €’ Negotiate stock profiles

  • €’ Proactively identify and secure new account, specification and partnership opportunities on the region

  • €’ Develop and manage new and existing OEM partners

  • €’ Proactively develop relationships and specification opportunities with end users

  • €’ Rigorously follow up on and track all sales leads

  • €’ Liaise with Polypipe specification teams to develop demand generation

  • €’ Maximise the selling price and profitability of the Polypipe Ventilation and Silavent range of products

  • €’ Attendance of trade shows, customer and company events and relevant meetings

  • €’ Effectively manage time focus and journey planning

  • €’ Produce monthly reports in a timely manner

  • €’ Maintain an effective and efficient administration system

  • €’ Ensure that product knowledge is maintained to the highest standard

  • €’ Ensure that building regulation and legislation knowledge is maintained to the highest standard

  • €’ Support organisational cultural reform through demonstrating role model behaviour, best practise and facilitating involvement and developing others

  • €’ Successful implementation and execution of business/strategic plans for the Channel partners

  • €’ Effective creation of growth on the back of successful creation of demand generation

7 Health, Safety and Environment

Ensure activities are carried out whilst complying with all measures introduced by the company with respect to Health, Safety and the Environment. In particular to comply with all procedures, safe working methods and practices and agreed rules to protect your own Health and Safety as well as others that may be affected by your actions, or omissions. 9 Knowledge, Qualifications, Experience and Skills (Competencies)

  • €’ ONC/HNC level or equivalent in a technical discipline or allied discipline

  • €’ Formal specification sales and account management training

  • €’ A background in the Ventilation industry or the Heating and Cooling industry

  • €’ Firm understanding of building regulations in order to deliver a sound technical message

  • €’ Experience in the construction industry selling to the end user/ contractor and channel partners

  • €’ Firm understanding of sustainable issues / solutions
